In our biggest undertaking for Converse yet, we designed and executed their Footpatrol collaboration, which spanned a multitude of touch points including a retail design and install, a zine, the lookbook, some moving image content for social and retail and custom suede Oyster card holder that was a gifted as an launch event invite.
For the retail install, we took more literal route with the brief. We CNC machined a plinth and backboard with a map of Soho, and then inserted a custom resin five point star that mimics the star on the shoe. This was the first time Converse had done a 3D star on a One Star shoe and it was important that that element took centre stage.
On the plinth, we inserted a 49inch HD screen that played a special made-for-purpose video edit of Soho and the five ‘Jewels of Soho’ we featured as part of the campaign. This played on a loop for a week and was a mix of HD and VHS footage we shot in the area whilst shooting the lookbook for the collection.
