In light of Nike’s latest Air release, Vapormax, Size? approached us to put together ‘The Airchive’, a pop-up location created to celebrate all things Air Max.
The brief was to build an adaptive space that accommodated a multitude of uses; Crepe City Magazine Launch, Size? Sessions, as well as an in-store gallery and raffle. The space, located within Shoreditch’s Old Truman Brewery, was split level, which initially seemed an issue but in reality allowed us to split the space more effectively.
We took the opportunity to utilise the middle section of the stairway to build out a Vapormax plinth, ensuring that Nike’s focus product was front and centre in the space. The lower portion of the space featured a fully steel magazine rack to facilitate the Crepe City launch, as well as bar for the weekend’s activity.
The upper level housed the Grail Wall, a unit that housed some of the most hyped Air Max releases from the archives, which were raffled off to a lucky winner on the final day of the event. As well as this, we also fitted the Airchive wall, noting the progression of Air Max, generally.
Finally, the space had to accommodate Size? Sessions, an event that saw Grime MC, Elf Kid, use the space to perform to a packed out crowd.
