If you’re unsure if you’ve heard about Tens, we’ll enlighten you. A Scottish sunglasses brand that launched via crowdfunding platform Viagogo in 2014, they’ve gone on to build a global community from over 100 countries. The brand’s lenses are the sell. Unlike most sunglasses, Tens’ custom filter lens works with natural sunlight to transform everything around you into a vivid experience of hues and saturation.
First and foremost, Tens are our friends and there is nothing more satisfying than coming together with friends to create something great. The Tens 10 Earlham St pop-up shop is that something. The task was simple, to create a high impact, on brand, physical environment that best represented Tens’ mantra of pushing the boundaries of everything they do, creating an amazing customer experience and showcasing a great product.
We sourced an incredible space amongst the much famed shopping area of Central London’s Covent Garden, a corner unit that held huge footfall opportunities, whilst allowing the store plenty of light. Seeing retail spaces from the Californian coast as a big inspiration, natural wood and copper piping were utilised throughout, as well as gold chains to hang product across both windows, acting as tester stations as well as displays. Touches of leafy potted plants, mirrors, polaroids and lookbook imagery placed in retro photo frames, were the finishing touches of a space that feels inherently ‘Tens’.
